How do I apply for Canada work permit?
Canada Work Permit:A work permit for Canada is given to an individual who is not a citizen or permanent resident of Canada, yet wishes to work here. It is a mandatory work permit, irrespective of whether the employer lives in Canada or not. The validity is only for specific time duration and for a specified job only. This means that a single work permit is applicable only for the intended work. If you want to switch jobs, you need to apply for a new permit again.Canada Work Permit Process:This is a two-fold process. In the first level, a Canadian employer must receive an approval from the Canadian government to hire foreign workers. At the second stage, on being granted permission, the designated employees should apply for receiving a work permit.Canada Work Permit Requirements:At the time of applying for the Canada work permit, you need to meet certain requirements in order to get the work permit for Canada. These are:-Your intention of leaving the country after the lapse of the work permitShould be self-sufficient enough to support yourself and your family during your stay hereShould not be having a criminal backgroundMust meet the health requirementsCanada Work Permit ApplicationThis work permit application requires verification from the Canadian labor market. If my child wants to run a lemonade stand on a hot summer day, how can I find out about the legally required permits in my jurisdiction?
You can call your town’s city hall if you want. You’d do better just having the lemonade stand, video anyone that bothers you, and monetize that video on youtube• but maybe that isn’t the sort of “civic responsibility” you are trying to teach your child.
What is the best way to find a sponsorship and get the Tier 2 visa in the UK?
Tier 2 is part of the points based system in the UK and if you fulfil specific criteria you could get a visa to work in the UK.  The system awards you points in three categories which are: attributes, English language, and maintenance.  Any organisation offering you a job must be a licensed sponsor (you will score points for this under attributes).  Tier 2 has four categories and understanding these categories (1 and 2 in particular) is the best starting point for finding sponsorship:1. General • if you have an offer of a skilled job that cannot be filled by a settled worker. This category includes applicants coming to the UK to fill shortage occupations.  You can find a list of shortage occupations here: you can find a list here: Page on www.gov.uk  This is updated from time to time so you should check it regularly.2. Intra-Company Transfer • if you are an existing employee of a multinational employer who needs to be transferred to their UK branch for training purposes or to fill a specific skilled vacancy that cannot be filled by a settled or EEA worker either on a long term basis or for frequent short visits. There are 4 sub-categories of Intra-Company Transfer:i)Long Term Staff • if you have been working for your organisation for at least 12 months directly prior to your transfer.  You can get a visa of up to 5 years under this route  (or 9 years for any staff earning £155,300 a year or more). ii) Short Term Staff • if you have been working for your organisation for at least 12 months directly prior to your transfer.  You can get a visa of up to 12 months.iii) Graduate Trainee • if you are a recent graduate recruit being transferred to a UK branch of your organisation for the purpose of training. (This route must not be used to fill long-term posts). You must be coming to the UK as part of a structured graduate training programme with clearly defined progression towards a managerial or specialist role within your organisation for a maximum period of 12 months.iv) Skills Transfer • if you are employed overseas and are being transferred to a UK branch of the same organisation in a graduate occupation to acquire the skills and knowledge needed to perform your role overseas, or to impart your specialist skills - your visa would be for a maximum of six months.3. You can qualify for a Tier 2 visa if you are an elite sportsperson or coach.4. If you are a Minister of Religion undertaking preaching and pastoral work you may be able to qualify for a Tier 2 visa.Or this may apply to some people:The UK Ancestry visa provides another route to work in certain very restricted circumstances if you have a grandparent who was born in the UK.  You can read more about that in my post: UK Ancestry Visas which can be found on my blog: UK Visa Applications.
What is the best way to fill out a job resume with no work experience?
You are beeped about an opening that is the dream job you have been waiting for. What is next? You apply, qualify and grab the job. Wish it was as simple as writing or saying the above three words. There will be one or the problem that can be a hurdle to your job search. Say, this time it demands a relevance experience and you literally have no experience to justify it.Whether you are a career changer or a recent graduate with no internships under your belt to highlight, there are still a few things that would make you look as qualified as possible. Here are somethings that can help you get the job. These are:Transferable and Relevant SkillsWhen you do not have an experience to support your application, then it is always better to use a skill based resume. Instead of using the space to confuse the employer with irrelevant information, start with a skill based resume with relevant or transferable skills taking the most of the space of your resume.Try and identify the skills that you can use for the job you are applying to. If you have work experience then you can pick the skills you have developed from the previous experiences. As a recent graduate find skills that helped you through a school project successfully. Spot this section right under the education and qualification section in your resume.Related Side/Academic ProjectsDo not doubt your academic projects. They are fair game and definitely deserve a place in your resume. Similarly list down other side projects you must have done after college that are relevant to this job application. As long as you are labelling your work experience as project work, you are free to include as many projects as you think are relevant.A better way to include all your projects under one sub-heading that does not confuse the employer is by creating a separate projects section. It is a myth that only full time experiences can be listed on your resume. You can list whatever you think is relevant for this application.A Cover Letter That Displays Your EnthusiasmA cover letter is not a part of your resume, but makes a strong impact if it is included in your job application. Coupling a resume with a strong cover letter can add an edge to your resume. Especially when you do not have a strong experience section in your resume or you are trying to make a career change.Find a way to connect your passions and life experiences with the vision and mission of the company. Then in your cover letter only try and explain how this will help you hitting the ground once you are a part of the company. You will notice that this link will work for you well especially if you are a recent graduate. Also, a cover letter is the perfect place to build the ladder in between the skills you have learned and what the company needs.Getting into a new line of job is a hard work. You need to spend a considerable time of your resume so that even if you do not have the qualifications, you look qualified. The trick here is to work upon the projects and skills that make you fit for the job. It is okay to break the resume rules at times you are required to keep the hiring manger interested in you. Some Thumb Points to RememberIdentify the qualities that make you fit for the roleMake yourself look irresistible to the employerAll through the resume, speak the same language as you study in the job descriptionFormat your resume perfectly
How can I get a working visa for Australia?
There are many, many different visas to go to Australia - your best bet is to read as much as you can on the border.gov.au website that others have also linked to. Having said that, here is how I understand the most common visas, maybe it will help you:For a long time it was possible to get a working visa for Australia just by applying, then once you have the visa you could go to Australia and find work. Unfortunately recent changes to the 457 visa (the most common temporary work visa) means that you now have to have a job secured before you can go - and then your new company has to nominate/sponsor you for the visa. If your skills are in short supply in Australia, you can get a 4 year visa, only 2 years if you don’t have a scarce skill. There are visas available for “skilled migration” which means you have a skill that Australia needs. If you can prove that you have such a skill (using a skills assessment) as well as the right level of English and education, you can apply for an independent visa which means you don’t need a job before you go. The most common types as far as I know are the 189 (skilled migration) and 190 (state-sponsored skilled migration) visas. For both of these you can’t fill in an application, you have to be invited to apply, so first you submit an expression of interest (EOI) - google “EOI 189” for more info. These two visas (and also the 186 which again is employer-sponsored) gives you immediate permanent residence in Australia which has many benefits such as access to free healthcare and schools. For all of these you have to be under the age of 45 when you get invited to apply, in addition to the other requirements.Other options include the regional work visas, where you commit to working in a rural area in Australia for 2 years, and so on. My suggestion is that you read a lot online and then find a MARA approved migration agent, most of them will do a free assessment to help you understand your options.
